Language Visa for Countries with Visa Facilitation

If you come from one of the countries with which the EU has established a visa facilitation agreement, you can travel to Germany without having to apply for a visa in your home country. Upon your arrival in Germany, you will receive a Schengen visa, which is valid for 90 days. With this tourist visa, you have the opportunity to travel throughout the entire Schengen area and participate in any German language course.

What should you do if you wish to stay in Germany for more than 90 days?

If you intend to have a longer stay, for example, to complete a German language course, you can convert your Schengen visa into another type of visa.

To obtain your visa, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Book a German course: You can easily do this through our course configurator.
  • Submit an official registration confirmation for the booked German course (enrollment letter): After registering for a German course, you should obtain an official registration confirmation (please refer to the price list for associated fees).
  • Submit a visa application with the assistance of our visa experts: Use our checklist to prepare thoroughly and keep track of all requirements.
